Google launched last year the two new Nexus handsets - "Nexus 5X" and the "Nexus 6P," which imitated the launch strategy of Apple's new "iPhone." But, things are about to change as the latest Nexus leaks are accurate.

The launching of "Nexus 5X" and the "Nexus 6P" quickly became apparent that the multinational technology company thought the "Nexus 6P" should be their most important product when it comes to hardware. As the "Nexus 6P" got a higher screen resolution, better camera set up, more RAM, better processor and with a generous storage.

But, this year, Google is doing better with regards with their devices. The HTC "Sailfish" which is the successor of Nexus 5X and HTC "Marlin" which is next in line of "Nexus 6P," will apparently have the same specs. That's the strategy of Apple Inc. with their iPhones, which are virtually the same, according to BGR.

Even the pricing details, launch dates and pictures for either phone  are still a mystery, the hardware details leaked online. Google's 2016 Nexus smartphones would still offer better resolution, for the reason that the devices are the larger of the two new Nexus phones, based on the report of Android Police.

Google's 2016 Nexus smartphones features quad-core Qualcomm processor, 5.5 in QHD AMOLED screen, 8-megapixel front camera, 12-megapixel rear camera, a 3,450 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.2 and a rear fingerprint sensor.

Both Google's 2016 Nexus smartphones have some features in common, however the devices differ only in battery capacity and screen size. This strategy has a resemblance of Apple's "iPhone" and "iPhone Plus" variants.

The Google Nexus 2016 which are named as "Sailfish" and "Marlin" were said to be manufactured by HTC, according to Vinereport.

And the design of Nexus phones will likely correspond with each other, but no words were up whether the gadgets would have HTC branding on the back, IB Times reported.

No confirmation yet regarding the release date of Google Nexus 2016 smartphones.
