Apple may have silent and lenient concerning the rumors revolving about its flagship iPhones 2016 and 2017 editions. But all that are tricks. As we all know, 2017 will be iPhone's 10^th year anniversary. This suggests that Apple is taking a calm road this 2016 by retaining and putting simple developments in its iPhone features.

Hence, a breakaway from this year's iPhone edition, upcoming iPhone 2017 will be a result of bigger plans. Apple's iPhone 2017 is said to remove the device's home button in order to allow its display employing a fingerprint sensor, The Wall Street Journal reported. As per the report, affirming the previous rumors that the 2017 iPhone will feature have OLED display.

 June 2017 marks the 10^th year anniversary launch of the original iPhone, this is the most probable indication why Apple is reportedly maintaining some things the same on its 2016 release, WSJ added.

Some sources said that the latest models of the phones expected for release this year will retain their 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch display sizes. These sources reiterate earlier rumors that iPhone 2016 will give up the headphone jack in favor of the use of lightning port for both charger and headphones, IGN reported. Additionally, earlier rumors have also suggested the 2016 iPhone will feature a flush rear camera and eliminate antenna bands.

In the end, Apple's choice to ditch the headphone jack will effect in improved water resistance, IGN report added. And the design will be thinner than in preceding years. Apple is expected to reveal the iPhone 7 in September and it the company will likely have plenty of ways to talk up the new smartphone even if the design itself is comparatively unchanged for a third consecutive year.
