Square Enix in collaboration with LEVEL-5 is all set to tag "Yo-kai Watch" characters and gears to the fan-favorite title, "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" - and it's happening this summer.

Several websites including Dual Shocker shared an array of images showing the new characters and weapons that are slated to be a part of special quest rewards.

What seems like a good news, especially for those thrilled by this piece of update, is that Square Enix/LEVEL-5 noted that this won't be the end of "Final Fantasy" and "Yo-kai Watch" crossover - which imply, fans can expect many more to come.

No prizes for guess, as a result of the collaboration, "Final Fantasy XIV" content will be shared with "Yo-Kai Watch" series.

In the current Japanese Yo-kai game, dubbed "Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi and Tempura," players can bump into two brand new Yo-Kai:

1) Chocobonyan
2) Mooglenyan

Both appropriately inspired by the "Final Fantasy" chocobos and moogles.

The revelation was made amid "Final Fantasy XIV" "Letter from the Producer Live Part XXIX" live stream Friday, May 27. The terms of the collaboration state 13 famous weapons from the "Yo-Kai Watch" will come to "Final Fantasy XIV," Gematsu reported.

In addition to the aforementioned "Yo-Kai Watch" characters that will soon make an entry on "Final Fantasy XIV," players will be able to spot yo-kai-themed weapon, pets, equipment, a Whisper flying - probably the most exciting of them all would be the titular watch accessory.

This is clearly a very well-planned event with specific weapons-related details including their individual names, for instance, the axe named the Paw of the Crimson Cat. Square Enix, in its forum also noted that it will be easier for players to earn the entire minions, as opposed to getting the weapons.

The collaboration contract states that even content from "Final Fantasy" theme will land on "Yo-Kai Watch 3."

While "Final Fantasy XIV" is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3; "Yo-kai Watch 3: Sushi and Tempura" edition will be available exclusively to Nintendo 3DS when it hits the shelves on July 16 in Japan.
