A 130-metre wide Antarctic waterfall plunges over the Nansen Ice Shelf

The extent of the meltwater rivers and lakes across Antarctica has been charted fully for the first time. Water flows for up to 120 kilometres from inland, sometimes ending in dramatic waterfalls at the edge of the ice sheet.
