An Xbox One owner will soon get a particular new form of procedure to play a lot more games without needing to spring for an extra disc space or a new bookshelf. Microsoft confirmed its Xbox Game Pass subscription program rolls out in June 1.

When gamers subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, they will be able to download and play a monthly catalog of over 100 Xbox One and Backward Compatible Xbox 360 titles. The catalog will include a mix of older, but triple-A games such as "NBA 2K16" and the first-person shooter video game, "Halo 5: Guardians." The catalog also comes along with indie and retro titles like the "Iron Brigade" and the 1995 arcade-style beat 'em up video game, "Comix Zone."

Nonetheless, the service will be available to all Xbox One users and will cost $9.99 per month. The Xbox Live Gold subscription is required for games with multiplayer options. All current Xbox Live Gold subscribers can sign up for a free 14-day trial to Game Pass, Major Nelson reported.

The Corporate VP of Marketing at Xbox, Mike Nichols, stated that the plan of the tech giant is to update the lineup of video games every month. Nichols also said that the Game Pass is all about giving Xbox owners an access to the large and diverse catalog of video games so these players can always have something to play, USA Today reported.

Xbox Game Pass reflects Microsoft's continuing commitment to provide players the best games, with a low monthly price along with exclusive discounts. Also, this Xbox update also comes as the tech giant's preparation for additional updates this year.

Wherein, Microsoft will reveal details about its Xbox Project Scorpio at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 next month. Microsoft's new gaming system will feature specs such as improved graphics performance and 4K support.
