‘Final Fantasy XIV’ New Microtransactions Features Confirmed With Details [VIDEO]

A recent live broadcast from Hamburg, Germany revealed the existence of new microtransactions features for "Final Fantasy XIV." These will be the Job-Level Boost and Scenario Shortcut items.

Reasons for Implementing New Microtransactions

The game's producer and director Naoki Yoshida was the one that confirmed that there will be Job-Level Boost and Scenario Shortcut items. He also gave the reasons why they will be implementing these items. First, they wanted to alleviate playtime disparity between the new and veteran players, Dual Shockers reported.

The game developers also want to lessen the time required to reach the end-game content, which is one of the issues that players were complaining. This will also increase their opportunities to play with friends and family.

Details On Scenario Shortcut Items

For the Scenario Shortcut items, these will only affect the main scenario of "Final Fantasy XIV." They also revealed that there will be two kinds of these items that will clear progression up to two different stages of the story. The items will be available at the start of "Stormblood's" Early Access feature on June 15 for only $18 and $25.

Details On Job Level-Boost Items

For the Job Level-boost items, these will raise the level of a single job, and it will add other bonuses as well. It will add a different "Tales of Adventure" for each job, and raise the job to level 60. It will be available on the Mog Station from June 16 for only $25 per job.

Players who will use the shortcut item will get a chocobo with a randomly generated name. It will be enrolled in the Grand Company of their starting city. The instanced dungeons will also be bound to the main scenario quests and it will be flagged as clear.

New Trailer For "Final Fantasy XIV" Revealed

Square Enix also revealed a new trailer, which can be viewed down below. It showcases the new expansion and its features like the new job actions and more. The live broadcast also featured new footage of the new expansion as well, Dual Shockers reported in another post.
