Brooklyn Beckham Is Going To University To Pursue Photography

By

Brooklyn Beckham, the son of professional English football player David Beckham and pop star-turned-designer Victoria Beckham, will be heading to university soon. The 18-year-old will be pursuing a degree in Photography.

A source told British news outlet The Sun that Brooklyn Beckham is ready for his next adventure in university. He just turned 18 this month and will be getting ready for his dream job in September.

The Daily Mail noted that it is still unclear which university the model will be attending later this year. He has previously stated his interest in pursuing higher education in the United States.

Brooklyn Beckham will be continuing his involvement with Brand Beckham. He is also set to assist his mother, Victoria, with her designer label where he will have a creative/photography type of role.

His first photography collection, entitled "What I See," will be released on May 2017. Brooklyn Beckham announced the book's title and publication date on Instagram last November.

It will be a collection of over 300 photos. It will be published by Penguin Random House Children's, which has published modern children's classics by authors like Roald Dahl and Jacqueline Wilson.

Francesca Dow, managing director of the publishing house, told the Telegraph that the young star's images "inspire a generation" worldwide. The book will give the young Beckham's fans an insight into the world through his unique and creative perspective.

The 18-year-old has also had his first stint at being a photographer with a campaign for a high-fashion designer house back in July last year. Huffington Post reported that the Burberry Brit fragrance campaign was Brooklyn Beckham's first high-profile shoot.

After the collaboration was announced, the young star faced criticism for being enlisted to do the job instead of the many professional photographers available. He was blasted for "devaluing" their profession.
The campaign featured an all-British cast of new models. Brooklyn Beckham captured the images of Ben Rees, Lewis Helim, Todd Dorigo, Eliza Thomas, Liv Mason Pearson, Maddie Demaine, Carvell Conduah and Harry Pourdjis.
