Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke, teased in an interview that Legendary Pokemons would be introduced into the game this year. Niantic Labs CEO stated that he can safely say that "Pokemon Go" players will see more of the Legendary Pokemons this year. Among the Legendary creatures expected to roll out within "Pokemon Go" mobile game in 2017 include Ho-Oh, Lugia and Mewtwo.

Meanwhile, Niantic also launched the new "Pokemon Go" Water Festival event. The event is now going live around the world for users on Apple and Android devices. The "Pokemon Go" Water Festival event comes along with an increased in encounters with Squirtle, Magikarp, Totodile, as well as their Evolutions across the globe, WCCF Tech reported.

Furthermore, following the Water Festival event, when "Pokemon Go" players are out exploring areas, these players will have a greater chance to encounter a number of the Water-type Pokemon creatures, which were originally located in the Johto region. The Water Festival event started on March 22 at 4 p.m. (ET) and ends on March 29 at the same time. That means "Pokemon Go" players have got exactly a week to fill out their Pokedex with those water types they have been missing.
