ZTE Launches Gigabit 5G Smartphone Earlier Than It Should Be; Enriched AR/VR Videos, Infinite Cloud Storage Expected

ZTE Gigabit Phone: World's First 5G-Ready Smartphone

Gigabit LTE standard is the newest 5G wireless standard of today aiming to beat the AT&T's 400 Mbps to 5Gbps and beyond connectivity. According to Engadget, the Chinese manufacturer ZTE has already revealed the world's first smartphone to feature the 5G connectivity, the Gigabit Phone.

ZTE has revealed Gigabit Phone ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain but the company is still expected to reveal the full details of the phone during the event. However, before that, the Chinese tech firm has already said that the new device will support 360 degree panoramic VR video, infinite cloud storage and unlimited ultra Hi-Fi music and HD movies as well.

Furthermore, ZTE also revealed the hardware specs of Gigabit Phone and that includes the Snapdragon 835 which appears to be Qualcomm's first modem for gigabit LTE. Through this, the phone offers extremely fast connectivity at 1Gbps download speed that makes it the first commercially available phone to achieve such speed, according to Mashable.

ZTE Gigabit Phone is making a public appearance during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain but not in a special event. The rumored handset with rumored model number ZTE BA602 in TENAA is expected to be spotted on ZTE's booth.

What to Expect from ZTE on MWC 2017?

Aside from launching the Gigabit Phone which focuses on 5G and cloudification, ZTE is also expected to launch new devices in its mid-range Blade brand. Furthermore, the Chinese manufacturing firm is reportedly launching a sub-brand product from Nubia, the Nubia Prague S2, a successor of Nubia Prague S.
