iPhone 8 Rumored Specs, Price and Release Date: The Roundup

Rumor has it that the Cupertino giant prepares three variants of iPhone 8 next year. Analyst Ming Chi-Kuo has spilled the details of each handset.

One will sport 4.7-inch display and single lens optic, the bigger handset will get dual lens camera module and 5.5-inch screen size; and last but not least, the most premium model that will have OLED display and dual lens camera module, according to MacWorld

Other radical overhauls include wireless charging feature and bezel-less design. Currently, there is no other handset being globally distributed with such edge-less screen except the concept phone, Xiaomi Mi Mix.

The iPhone 8 pricing will likely go above iPhone 7 price range according to Forbes. Apple's upcoming flagships may see the light of day sometime in September 2017 based on the company's pattern in launching new devices each year.

iPhone 8 isn't the only rumored device to sport bezel-less design. Samsung's upcoming flagship could be introduced earlier than Apple's. Galaxy S8 is reportedly being prepared for a Q1 2017 release.

Aside from the reported Snapdragon 835 SoC, Samsung could be equipping Galaxy S8 with its own voice assistant developed by Viv Labs, as reported by Bloomberg. There has been rumor about dual-lens camera module but it seems that Samsung has put the idea aside due to the high cost in manufacturing such device.
