Surface Book 2 Specs, Rumor: The Dynamic Hinge, The Power and The Release Date [VIDEO]

By

The highly-anticipated Surface Book 2 is said to offer a set of appetizing specifications. Here's the roundup on specs and release date!

Surface Book 2 specs rumor

The upcoming Surface Book could be equipped with the seventh generation core, the Kaby Lake. Undoubtedly, the device will get more power to support its high-definition screen display. A GPU from Intel HD Graphics 520 should be able to optimize the screen resolution as well. The processor specs should be able to bring improvements in playing VR or viewing 3D graphics.

Previous reports suggest that Microsoft might offer two variants of Surface Book 2, 2K and 4K displays. The hinge becomes the talk lately. Microsoft is expected to place a smoother, more functional and more dynamic hinge to make the keyboard detachable. This has been the rants that people expect to see as they are not satisfied with the current Surface Book hinge.

Surface Book 2 release date

It may be too early for Microsoft to update the iteration given that Surface Pro 4 is just a year old. As Microsoft hardware event draws near, the fans should not expect any appearance from Surface Book 2 or Surface Pro 5 as these gadgets might arrive in the 2017. ZDNet has speculated a late 2017 launch date for the Surface devices.

The company is very likely to showcase the updates on Windows 10. Redstone 2 is big news and it seems not the right timing to 'interrupt' the event with a device release. Microsoft October 26th keynote address will be gaming-related news, Windows 10 update and the anticipated Surface All-in-One device alongside its keyboards and mouse.

However, Microsoft is good at keeping secret as the original Surface Book launch came to a surprise, BGR reported. There is a great possibility that the next gen may come with a surprise especially after Microsoft's official Instagram teases a revamped Surface Book.
