RateMyProfessors.com Shares Top Universities, Professors Based On Student Reviews

RateMyProfessors.com has shared its top universities and professors list. The data was collected from student reviews.

It was previously reported that Times Higher Education has deemed the California Institute of Technology, Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University and Princeton University as the best universities in the United States. A report from QS has also revealed that Asia seems to be overtaking the U.S. and Europe in terms of higher education since majority of the top 50 young universities around the world came from the continent.

USA Today College reported that RateMyProfessors.com has shared its own list of top universities as well as the best professors using data collected from reviews by its users who are college students. The website announced its annual Top Lists for the 2015-2016 academic year last week.

RateMyProfessors.com had lists for Highest Rated University Professors, Highest Rated Junior and Community College Professors, Highest Rated Universities and Highest Rated Junior and Community Colleges. The website also had Fun Lists which featured the Hottest Professors, Top Rated Donalds and Hillarys as well as Schools That Make Your Friends Jealous.

According to the site, the University of Wisconsin-Madison is the best four-year university in the U.S. This is based on both professor and campus ratings. It is followed by Washington University, the University of North Carolina, University of California Santa Barbara and University of Georgia in second, third, fourth and fifth places, respectively.

The top five university professors are Devon Hanahan, from the College of Charleston, Julie Mazur, from Montclair State University, James Brenner, from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Brian Fennig, from the Southern Methodist University and Craig Kapp, from New York University.

The top five highest rated junior and community colleges are Mountain View College (Dallas, TX), Johnson County Community College (Overland Park, KS), MiraCosta College (Oceanside, CA), Santa Barbara City College (Santa Barbara, CA), and Orange Coast College (Costa Mesa, CA).
