'Vikings' Season 4 Spoilers: Ragnar Returns, Recruits People Back To Wessex; Floki To Finally Accept Love From Ragnar But, Betrays Him For King Aelle

"Vikings" Season 4 sees the return of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) after his wounds healed as revealed by show creator Michael Hirst. The story will follow Ragnar in his journey to resolve his unfinished business in the settlement in Wessex, England. He will also find out what had become of his sons and reconnects with his old friends.

In "Vikings" Season 4, Ragnar will talk to his oldest and deepest friends such as Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) and will try to recruit people to accompany him back to Wessex, Entertainment Weekly reported. Hirst stated that Lagertha and Floki are the people seen in the first episode of the first season who have been with Ragnar in his journey. They are the people embedded in Ragnar's life who he loved and loved him back.

A huge part of "Vikings" Season 4 will deal with the changes Floki is going through, including his relationship with Ragnar. Floki has been very open about his feelings for Ragnar which has not been quite reciprocated. Hirst said that the upcoming episodes will finally see Ragnar return the same feelings for Floki.

Hirst also mentioned the name of a new character, Astrid (Josefin Asplund), who will enter "Vikings" Season 4 as Lagertha's lover. Astrid is revealed to be a character who is not impressed with Ragnar's accomplishments and will even tease him as they first meet in Lagertha's great house. Ragnar loves it according to Hirst and added that Astrid is a breath of fresh air into the show.

"Vikings" Season 4, however, is rumored to see the end of Ragnar in its finale. Speculations arise that Ragnar will meet his end due to either a battle or old age, iTech Post reported. Another rumor claims that Ragnar will fall into a snake pit as Floki betrays him and sells him to King Aelle in Northumbria. and he will fall into a snake pit.
