Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet is rumored to be released in September, the same month when the new version of Google's mobile operating system (OS), Android Nougat 7.0, is set to be deployed. Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet is expected to be the first tablet device to carry Android Nougat 7.0 OS.

However, reports claim that Google might decide to set an earlier release date. This is because Android Nougat 7.0 OS is reportedly near completion. Since Google recently stopped the sales of the Google Nexus 9 tablet, this may be a signal that a new device will be out for release. In this case, rumor has it that the next device to unveil is Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet, PC Advisor reported.

Not much information about the specs of Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet has been revealed yet. However, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 or by Nvidia Tegra X1 processor chipset. The device is also suggested to sport 4GB of RAM for more multi-tasking capabilities and equip 2TB of external memory support, The Verge reported. The internal storage capacity is also expandable through a microSD card slot.

Meanwhile, Huawei is suggested to be behind the creation of Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet. However, no confirmation about the identified manufacturer of Google Nexus 7 2016 has been released yet. To recall, the other two Nexus upcoming devices rumored to be named as the Nexus Sailfish and the Nexus Marlin, are suggested to be in development by the Taiwanese mobile developer HTC.

Google Nexus 7 2016 tablet is also expected to be released along with Google's other Android devices. The new device is said to be another affordable gadget like the previous models.
