She is considered to be one of the most successful American media entrepreneur, talk show host, producer and actress. On the side, she is also a philanthropist. Oprah Winfrey may be known for her famous talk show host but many know her to be a successful entrepreneur.

She is the founder of Harpo Productions and has an estimated net worth of over $2.7 billion, according to Rasmussen. She was able to achieve her goals in life after a short college education at Tennessee State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Speech and Performing Arts.

At 14 years old, she enrolled in Lincoln High School. Despite her troubled past, of being molested, she continued on. She then moved to Nicolet High School after gaining success in the Upward Bound program. She moved to Nashville, Tennessee because she struggled with the stress of teenage life. Eventually, she was voted Most Popular Girl and was an honors student. She was able to secure a scholarship to Tennessee State University after winning second place in the East Nashville High School dramatic interpretation contest. Afterwards, she was able to gain experience in media and broadcasting.

At the age of 19 years old, she began to dip her feet into the radio and television world. She started a job in radio while still studying in high school. She then began to co-anchor during the local evening news. Her unique ad-lib delivery earned her a spot in day time talk show. Eventually, she launched her own production company.

The Queen of All Media has been named as one of the richest African-American of the 20th Century. She is also considered to be one of the most influential women in the world. President Obama awarded her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and she also received an honorary doctorate degree from Duke and another one from Harvard, because of her accomplishments in the industry.
