Android Nougat features: conserve data

The newest OS lets users have more control from customizing status bar to setting notification priority. There is also data plan saving feature which allows users to limit certain apps from receiving data in the background. Thus, you will be able to conserve your data with the new 'Data Saver' option that you can find in the Settings, Digital Trends reported.

Android Nougat features: split screen

This is one of the highlight of Android Nougat as the new OS enables users to split screen. The next Google Nexus Phone 2016 will be able to open two apps at once. This feature might have been popularized by Samsung and LG in their Android skins, Tech Radar reported.

Android Nougat features: Emergency Information

Developers testing Android N beta also finds that the Android 7.0 Nougat will feature Emergency Info that allows smartphone owner to input critical information such as name, address, blood type, allergies or other illness you have. This info can be accesed from Emergency Call in the lock screen.

Android 7.0 Nougat features release date

Android N beta version is currently in and the developer might be gearing up for the release a few months later. The current Android N beta is quite stable and some devices that can 'test' the sweet treats include Nexus 5X and Pixel C.

People should expect the Android Nougat launch in late October. Rumor has it that the newest Google Nexus Phone 2016 HTC Marlin and Sailfish which will run Android Nougat, arrive this year too, University Herald reported.

And since there will be no event to mark the release of Android Nougat, Android smartphone users might expect the new OS to arrive in their devices when the time comes.
