‘Final Fantasy 7’ Director Finally Confirms Realease Date; Could Square Enix Launch Its Remake After ‘Final Fantasy XV’?

"Final Fantasy 7" remake hype is up as remake director Tetsuya Nomura promised a big revelation is coming soon. However, Final Fantasy fans may catch up on the upcoming "Final Fantasy XV" in September. As new features and developments included in "FFXV" might also be introduced to "FF7" remake.

In transcript of Nomura's interview with Famitsu, a Japanese video gaming magazine which KH Insider tranlated into English, he talked about Kingdom Hearts with which hints about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake relase date dropped bit by bit. Amid Nomura's focus on the Kingdom Hearts latest entry Kingdom Hearts 3 and the re-mastered "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8," a statement slipped through his mouth about the other fervently anticipated game remake title he is soon to direct

When the interviewer dropped the bait, inquiring why there is a current absence of information about the "Final Fantasy 7" remake, Nomura countered that he could not offer any specifics but assured everyone that a massively significant news concerning the game will come soon and they will arrive in multitudes, UniversityHerald wrote.

Nomura added that "Final Fantasy 7" development team is prepping up for the next material release. The existing plans for the news propagation concerning the remake is the same to the approach for "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8." Therefore, the development team eyes a one-time big time revelation of "Final Fantasy 7".

However, some analyst suggest that it will be sometime in August when "Final Fantasy 7" remake update announcements will be released in reference to Nomura's promise. It might potentially come along with Kingdom Hearts announcement, VineReport wrote. A slew of announcements are also planned for the "Dissidia Final Fantasy" tournament by the end of August.
