'GTA V' Update: Excitinng Powerups Plus New Multiplayer Mode

By

"Grand Theft Auto V" by Rockstar Games will have new mode in the game's multiplayer component which includes powerups and more.

The latest updates on Rockstar Games' "Grand Theft Auto V", has  a new mode, Grand Theft Auto Online Adversary Mode, which is also called Power Play. As what have seen in the trailer, the mechanics of the mode involves picking up powerups which are scattered around the multiplayer map to be used by players to their benefits. One powerup can be used by a player at a time. Rockstar says that this will develop the strategic component in the players by making the team make a strategy based on what they have, Gamespot reported.

Here's a list of powerups that players can use:

  • Beasted: allows players to transform into a Beast that uses special powers such as, super jump, super strength, and invisibility.
  • Zoned: allows players to slow down time for all other players, giving snipers a very good advantage against enemies that are in the open.
  • Doped: Allows the player to dull the enemy's senses which gives the enemy a trippy green haze.
  • Raging: Allows players and entire teams to go on a rampage because the player who activated it will inflict more damage while taking less of it.
  • Flipped: This will temporarily invert all enemy camera controls. This will also mix team chats to mess with their communication.
  • Dark: this will send the whole team off-grid. This is ideal for ambushes and surprise attacks.

Rockstar Games has also released more details on the next big update. Rockstar Games said that this will be the biggest update in GTA Online. The update would be called "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony", CNET reported.

This new update, "Further Adventures in Finance and Felony", is a continuation of the player's mission to become the CEO of Criminal Enterprise and become the ultimate kingpin of Los Santos and Blaine County.
