'Game of Thrones: Battle of the Bastards': Doubts Answered By Director

By

The famous movie series, "Game of Thrones", has delivered the most impressive episode of the season, the "Battle of the Bastards".

The sixth episode of the "Game of Thrones" titled "Battle of the Bastards" was this Season's most impressive episode of the famous movie series which is directed by Miguel Sapochnik. Director Miguel Sapochnik was also the one behind the success of a Season 5 episode, "Hardhome". After the airing of the "Battle of the Bastards", Miguel Sapochnik took time to answer a few of the biggest questions about how they made the most action packed episode a great success, IGN reported.

According to the director, many things originally planned were cut. One of which is the shield wall which should have been a wall made of horse riders. However, they encountered difficulty in marching the horses into people and it will took such a long time in shooting it.

Also, the set for the field should have been covered in snow to represent the cold. However, every time the horses run up and down, the set needs to be fixed which would take a long time and it could not just be done. So, they have to find another way of representing the cold. In making movies, there will always be a compromise, sacrifice and negotiation.

Another big question is the whereabouts of Jon Snow's most trusted battle companion, Ghost the dire wolf. During the battle, fans wonder why the dire wolf is nowhere to be found. The fans also added that the help of a fierce dire wolf might have proven useful in the battle.

"Game of Thrones" actor Liam Cunningham who played as Sir Davos, gave a logical reason which shed light as to why the dire wolf was not around during the battle. He said, that a battle such as that is no place for a dire wolf. He added that they would not last very long in such a war. Even Wun Wun, the last of the tribe of giants lost his life,  a "Game of Thrones" news source, Winter is Coming reported.
