Internships are not typically popular for their prestige because most of the time, when people hear the word "intern", what comes to mind is someone who does coffee runs and menial jobs that are not very appealing to everyone.
But times have already changed. Internships are now becoming more of a gateway for students and fresh graduates in landing their dream professional career, according to Fortune. It is an excellent venue where important skills are developed and experiences are gained which are useful for the future. Internships have grown to be part of our culture.
If you are currently working as an intern, here are some positive signs that yes, your intership might turn it into a full time job.
Expansion of the company
If you notice that your company is growing, then there will surely be openings soon and it's a must for you to watch out and monitor your company's health too, according to Business Insider. Keep your eyes and ears open to find out if your business is doing well and if there is any good chance for you to secure an entry level position.
You are entrusted with additional responsibilities
If there is progress in your role and you have been taking on additional tasks and responsibilities, it only goes to show that you have gained the trust of your boss and you are ready to handle bigger projects. It may not be a guarantee but it's a sign that you are on the right track.
Your boss asks for your opinion
It is a good sign if your manager turns to you to ask for your thoughts and ideas. This only means that your voice is being valued and you are being considered as someone whose inputs are helpful for the business.
