HP Spectre and the Apple Macbook 2016 have been deemed as two of the best laptops for students who have gone back to school this year. Check out the other computers and hardware that can help students with their academic goals.

CNET collated a list of the best back to school computers and hardware for 2016. It includes laptops, tablets as well as CPUs.

1. HP Spectre

Deemed as the world's thinnest laptop, the HP Spectre is also very powerful with a Core i7 CPU. PC World gave it a 4.5 rating.

2. Apple Macbook 2016

CNET noted that the Apple Macbook 2016 has been seen frequently on college campuses. The second-gen upgrade equips the portable device with more power and battery life which is helpful for use in school.

College students can also wait for the upcoming Apple Macbook Pro 2016 which is rumored to have a November release date. The interesting feature for the upcoming device is that it will have an OLED Display Touch Bar which is believed to be fully-customizable to assign shortcuts to your frequently used programs or tasks.

3. Samsung Galaxy TabPro S

It runs on Windows 10 which is compatible with most software that students use. The Samsung Galaxy TabPro S comes with a keyboard cover, unlike the Microsoft Surface Pro which sells the keyboard separately. This means that students can save more money on this purchase.

4. Alienware Alpha R2

Digital Trends gave the Alienware Alpha R2 a 9/10 rating for its compact and sturdy design as well as a solid 1080p performance. It can easily become a schoolwork PC and, at the same time, be a gaming machine and media center.

5. Origin PC Chronos
