Thinking about switching internet providers? You're in luck; we've done the research for you and compared some of the best internet providers across the nation that have the best speeds, prices, deals and more. Here are the top 10 internet providers in 2021 and everything you need to know about each one here.

Compare The Top 10 Internet Providers In 2021

1. Verizon Fios

We've ranked Verizon Fios first on our Top 10 Internet Providers In 2021 list for their superior fiber internet service. Their internet plans have fast speeds and low than average prices. Unfortunately most of Verizon Fios coverage is on the East Coast but if you can get it, it's an excellent choice.

2. Charter Spectrum

We've rated Charter Spectrum on our list for their expansive coverage area and continuously growing coverage in underserved areas. If you live in an area with limited internet options, it's worth it to keep checking back to see if Spectrum is coming to your area. They have many expansion projects in progress right now and expect to increase their coverage area up to 30% over the next few years.

3. CenturyLink

We've rated CenturyLink third on our list for their growing fiber coverage and expansive DSL coverage. They're also known to not dramatically increase your rate when your promotional price ends. Everyone gets the same low prices that don't break the bank a year or more down the road like what happens with other internet providers.

4. HughesNet

HughesNet is rated fourth on our list for their nationwide coverage even in areas where other internet providers cannot reach. All their internet plans include the same fast speeds and no hard data limits; meaning you won't get shut off for using your internet too much. If you live in a rural or remote area, HughesNet internet can be an excellent choice for your family.

5. Comcast Xfinity

Comcast Xfinity is rated fifth on our list for their nationwide coverage and fast internet speeds reaching up to 2000 Mbps in select areas. While Comcast Xfinity doesn't have a stellar reputation for providing excellent customer service, their internet service is still a solid choice if it's available at your address.

6. MetroNet

MetroNet is rated sixth on our list for their 100% fiber internet straight to your home and affordable high speed internet plans. Unfortunately, MetroNet is a smaller, local internet provider and may not be available in your area. If you live in the Midwest, you may have MetroNet internet service available to you.

7. RCN

RCN is rated seventh on our list for their excellent new customer deals and reasonable rates on their higher tiered internet plans. RCN boasts being voted the fastest internet provider by PC Mag in 2021 and U.S. based customer service. Unfortunately RCN isn't available everywhere, but if you're a lucky resident of Boston, Chicago, New York City, Philadelphia or the Washington DC Metro area you may be able to get RCN internet.

8. Cincinnati Bell

Cincinnati Bell is rated eighth on our list for their blazing fast contract free fiber internet plans. Unfortunately Cincinnati Bell is also a local internet provider only available within and around the Cincinnati, Ohio area. If Cincinnati Bell is available at your address, it is an excellent choice for internet service and all plans come with a 24 or 36 month price guarantee.

9. Suddenlink

Suddenlink is rated ninth on our list for their great customer deals. If you're thinking of switching to an internet provider with faster speeds and want a great deal too, Suddenlink may be the internet provider for you. They have frequent new customer specials including deals like free prepaid gift cards, 1 free month of internet, discounted rates, free streaming devices and more. Their deals are frequent, but for a limited time only so act fast.

10. Frontier FiberOptic

Frontier is rated tenth on our list for their continuously expanding their fiber optic networks. If you have Frontier FiberOptic internet available address, it could be a good option for your family. However, buyers beware that most of Frontier Communications' coverage area is in fact DSL not fiber internet. When ordering Frontier internet, make sure you indeed can get fiber internet at your home.
