In this era, it is perhaps impossible to explain to Gen Z generation about a time where technology was not synonymous with the internet. These modern advancements have changed the way we live life and communicate, with no sector left untouched. Education benefits significantly from technology, and for this article, teaching and learning English has been drastically changed in the past decades.

Teachers today are not the sole source of information. Blended learning has now taken over where the traditional class set up includes the use of digital and online media to teach students. This combination of physical and virtual courses enhances the dissemination of knowledge more than any other time in history. Technological advancements and competition mean that there is a wealth of resources for both teachers and students to make from the teaching and learning experience. Whole website, apps, and games create an experience that facilitates more significant interaction with a language.

In today's globalized world, the demand for English will not dwindle any times soon; it is likely to increase. That projection creates an opportune climate for integrated learning software. Currently, many people have to use separate website, applications and other digital tools to have a rounded learning experience. A professional, such as a personal injury lawyer in Vancouver, is likely to deal a few French speakers despite most of the population in the area being English speaking. For them, a tool that not only offers translations but an integrated learning experience is likely to serve them better where they can take extra courses to polish up on the basics. It is therefore not enough to have software that teaches one language but can allow others to switch to different styles and still use a variety of learning tools.

Reading, writing, listening, and speaking are all core areas where a person seeking to know a language can test themselves. Therefore, there should be in the coming years an increase in self-evaluating platforms. That means that teachers can assign tasks within a given medium and have it automatically mark and keep track of a student's performance. Just as in many institutions, online submissions have transformed grading systems, making an evaluation and monitoring seamless. Both teacher and learner can identify strength and areas that need improvement.

Specialized learning is also a trend that will continue to pick up in the coming years. While learning English, or a foreign language for that matter, can help a person communicate everyday language the challenge persists in concentrated topics or careers. The demand for teaching and learning engineering, law or medical terms and other such specialized areas will increase, creating room for more institutions, entities, and individuals to take part as they adopt this need through the use of technology.
