Cheaters of the "Pokémon Go" mobile game are currently frustrated by Niantic's new security measures that break the game for players who are using scanners. The studio made it impossible to view the item store or even catching the rarest Pokémon monsters.

Since "Pokemon Go" was launched last year, Niantic has been fighting against cheaters and scammers. One of the most common threats to the community of the mobile game is botting. As it became so easy to locate strong "Pokemon Go" monsters, the Gym battle system became fairly unbalanced.

Nonetheless, Niantic's new security measures are getting "Pokémon Go" cheaters frustrated. The new security measures essentially break the mobile game for "Pokémon Go" players who are using scanners. The changes make it impossible for players to catch the rarest monsters or even view the game's item store. "Pokémon Go" players who are experiencing these changes have been shadowbanned, The Silph Road reported.

The shadowban effectively pushes "Pokémon Go" players into a neutered version of the mobile game, where these players can't see rare spawns. Players are reporting that detected and flagged accounts are being limited to see common Pokémon creatures, The Next Web reported.

However, as the video game developer launched the anti-cheat methods, it should be noted that this won't permanently bring down the botting community either. After the third-party developers figured out what ignites a shadowban, the studio's code can be compiled and then can be reversed.

That being said, several "Pokémon Go" players are wondering if Niantic's new security measure is just a primer for new feature additions. Wherein, reports have been claiming that there are at least two major content updates for the "Pokémon Go" that will be launched this year. The major updates of "Pokemon Go" is said to feature legendary monsters and a co-op based gym overhaul.
