Apple may be placing the fingerprint scanner of the iPhone 8 at the back instead of embedding the feature in the display panel. This is based on the latest leak about Apple's highly anticipated iOS-running smartphone.

A photo of what appears to be iPhone 8's PowerPoint presentation was published on Slash Leaks. It is unclear what the PowerPoint presentation contains for the reason that everything is in Chinese. Nonetheless, what's quite noticeable from the image is the featured back panel of the iPhone 8. It has cutouts for a circular one that is believed to be made for the fingerprint reader, as well as for the Apple logo and a vertically aligned dual-camera module.

Another interesting thing about iPhone 8's newly leaked illustration is the small cut-out under the device's camera module. Some media outlets called it an odd thing to have for the reason that the flash is underneath the module and not in-between the lenses, Apple Insider reported.

Nevertheless, the Cupertino based tech giant plans to pack a ton of advanced technology into the iPhone 8. Apple's flagship 2017 iPhone certainly won't be the priciest handset, but the device will certainly be the most expensive iPhone the tech company has ever released. Thus, while iPhone 7's current entry-level costs about $649, several tech experts anticipated that the entry-level of iPhone 8 will have a $1,000 price tag, Network World reported.

The iPhone 8 is said to come along with a 3D face-scanning technology, an advanced edge-to-edge OLED display and a large battery. Apple's flagship 2017 iPhone is expected to be a complete redesign from the latest iPhone's usual form factor. Also, reports are claiming that the iPhone 8 will arrive with a wireless charging technology. That being said, Apple is said to launch the iPhone 8 alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus.
