Google's upcoming Pixel 2 smartphone is probably one of the most anticipated handsets to arrive this year. Google is already preparing itself to launch the Google Pixel 2, the device is expected to roll out sometime during the summer months.

It is not that long since Google rolled out its latest smartphone in the shape of the Pixel. Nonetheless, the search engine giant is already preparing itself to release the Google Pixel 2, the device is expected to be available sometime during the summer months.

Although the tech giant has yet to confirm the exact Google Pixel 2 release date, but the former president of Motorola, Rick Osterloh, was hired to head Google's new hardware division, and Osterloh confirmed that Google is currently developing and finalizing the new version of Google's Pixel range, Value Walk reported.

Nevertheless, Google's next-gen Pixel smartphones will be available in three different models. The tech giant codenamed the handsets as Muskie, Walleye and Taimen. The Taimen, which is the third Google Pixel 2 iteration, could be the largest smartphone from the tech giant.

Being a competitive flagship, Google's upcoming Pixel 2 smartphones should only have high-end specs. The predecessor of Google Pixel 2 had Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821 chip when other flagship smartphones featured the Snapdragon 820, so the Google Pixel 2 should also be ahead of the others. However, it is unknown if there will be a refresh Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, making it the bare minimum processor for the 2017 flagship of Google.

Furthermore, the tech company confirmed that the Google Pixel 2 will be a budget-friendly smartphone. The upcoming device might have a starting price of $650. The Google Pixel 2 might have the IP67 or IP68 waterproof classification. The next-gen of Google Pixel smartphones will have the USB Type-C port as well as a 3.5 mm headphone jack, Market Exclusive reported.
