New leaks of OnePlus 5 Android smartphone showed that the handset is geared up to compete with the flagships from Samsung and Apple. The new flagship smartphone of the Chinese tech company will be a high-end smartphone that still comes with a cheaper price.

The upcoming flagship smartphone of OnePlus is reportedly going to boast a horizontal dual camera set-up. A source has provided some photos which were taken by the camera of the new OnePlus smartphone. The images come along with an exchangeable image file format (EXIF) metadata, which contains the entire camera details used such as the camera mode, Forbes reported.

The leak images are said to be captured by OnePlus A5000 Android smartphone with a f/2 aperture. The information on the EXIF metadata also comes along with the GPS coordinates where the image was taken, which was in Shenzhen, China. These details point towards the highly anticipated OnePlus 5 smartphone.

Nonetheless, the upcoming OnePlus 5 Android smartphone is said to feature Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with an 8GB of RAM. Some reports are claiming that the OnePlus 5 will have an AMOLED screen with curved edges. Also, the screen resolution of the upcoming device is said to have a 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Meanwhile, the Chinese tech giant has exclusively confirmed that OnePlus 5 smartphone will arrive this summer. Although the upcoming flagship smartphone is the successor to the OnePlus 3 and 3T, the handset is dubbed as the OnePlus 5 and not the OnePlus 4 for the reason that the Chinese considered number 4 is unlucky, The Verge reported.

OnePlus has made a name for itself in manufacturing high-performing handsets that sell for a cheaper price compared to the competing flagships from Samsung, Apple and Google. Wherein, the OnePlus 3 and 3T appeared to be some of the best handsets released in 2016, and the OnePlus 5 Android smartphone tends to continue this trend..
