Microsoft might launch the highly anticipated Surface Phone in late 2017. Upon its release, the Surface Phone could come along with Windows 10 Redstone 3.

The Windows 10 Redstone software's early version has already been released, wherein, tech experts are anticipating that the Redstone 3 update will be available at least before 2017 ends. This transpires to be the same time frame when Microsoft's Surface Phone is expected to be released. It has been said that Microsoft wants tech fans to take their time in making the right decision to get the upcoming handset, and it could probably include waiting until the Windows 10 Redstone 3 is ready to run the Microsoft Surface Phone, Digital Trends reported.

Nonetheless, there have been several reports about Surface Phone prototypes being tested late last year. Several prototypes of the Microsoft Surface Phone that were tested run on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor. One of the prototypes was running with a 6GB of RAM, while the other model with just 4GB of RAM. Also, one of the Surface Phone prototypes runs on 64-bit apps and x86 apps via the Windows 10 Continuum.

Meanwhile, just a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that a 2-1 category device is a future technology, which will be released soon to the market. Nadella also said that they have the vision of the ultimate-mobile-device. Based on Nadella's statements, the Redmond, Washington-based tech titan can still save the falling Windows 10 Mobile business by launching a series of new Windows 10 Mobile devices, which the Surface Phone could be a part of it, Windows Latest reported.

Moreover, Head of Windows Terry Myerson, has hinted that original equipment manufacturers (OEM) can expect to access Windows 10 on Qualcomm SoCs in the 6-inch, 10-inch, and 14-inch displays. Wherein, the 6-inch variant will cater to handsets such as the Microsoft Surface Phone, Learn Bonds reported.
