New details of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 have recently emerged online. A source who allegedly had a first-hand look at the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 said that the upcoming device will come with Intel's Kaby Lake chips.

A source made it known that the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 2-in-1 tablet will come along with Intel's Kaby Lake chips. Nonetheless, apart from these adjustments, the upcoming Microsoft device will not feature any dramatic changes.

A renowned tipster Paul Thurrott, stated that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will not differ much from its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4, and the upcoming device will continue with the Surface Connect power adapter. Although the Redmond, Washington tech giant is still yet to confirm any details regarding the Surface Pro 5, recent reports claim that the device will come along with a 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and a 4k UltraHD display. However, it is still uncertain whether Microsoft's rechargeable stylus with a dock will be incorporated in the Surface Pro 5, Channel Pro reported.

Meanwhile, despite the disappointment from the social media and several release date delays of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5, there are still a huge number of tech fans who believe on the upcoming device as they expected. Nevertheless, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to feature an upgraded specs compared to the Surface Pro 4, Daily Tech reported.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 was previously expected to roll out along with the launch of the Windows 10 Creators Update. At the moment, an official release date for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is nowhere in sight, but anticipations point to a spring 2017 release.

Microsoft will be holding a major event in New York City on May 2. Tech enthusiasts are expecting that more details about the upcoming 2-in-1 tablet will be revealed during the event.
