There will be some new gen consoles reportedly debut this year. Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo are among the big makers expected to release their revolutionary entertainment system in 2017.

Xbox Scorpio Update

The Project Scorpio has been teased since last year and now Microsoft is preparing for its launch at E3 2017. Albeit the small-size booth, Microsoft could be stealing the limelight from Sony which reportedly does not have anything new to introduce at the biggest game show this year.

Xbox Scorpio is said to be able to play 4K native video and the leaked spiecs seemingly suggest a better player than the PS4 Pro. However, since there is no official word from Microsoft, everything remains to be seen.

PlayStation 5 Update

It may be too early to make a prediction but tech experts have already come up with a few analysis. First, Macquarie researcher Damian Thong said that PS5 will be launched in 2018. The second verdict came from analyst Michael Pachter who said that Sony's entertainment system will adopt 4K video. Another interesting feature of PS5 is the photorealistic VR technology to boost its visual experience, PlayStation Universe reported.

SNES Classic Update

Nintendo apparently did not plan to make its all-time favorite console NES Classic Edition, a permanent product. It is discontinued but fans can still grab the very last batch on Amazon and Best Buy. Meanwhile, Nintendo is reportedly working on another retro console, the SNES Classic Edition for holiday season, GMAnetwork reported.

An informant who spoke to Eurogamer claimed that the SNES Classic will be another mini edition of the entertainment system that was once a popular console. It is highly likely to reach NES Classic's level of popularity. SNES Classic could come with 30 pre-installed games along with controllers that are sold separately.
