Apple's 2017 iteration of the iMac is said to roll out in the second half of 2017, most probably in August. The latest iMac 2017 will come along with a server-grade variant to cater the high end creative professional market.

The latest iMac 2017 reports hint on what could be in store for creative pros and puts a more specific time frame for Apple's upcoming all-in-one desktop computer. Recently surfaced reports claim that the production of two new iMacs will kick off next month, with a view to launch the consumer iMac 2017 between August and the server-grade iMac 2017 variant at the tail end of 2017.

The much awaited iMac 2017 will resemble the screen sizes of the existing iMac variants, which is 21.5-inch and 27-inch. Nevertheless, an exacting iMac 2017 will be available with premium specs to compete with Microsoft's Surface Studio, DigiTimes reported.

The iMac 2017 is expected to be manufactured by Quanta Computer manufacturing company. The server-grade iMac 2017 will boast an Intel Xeon E3-1285 processor as well as an ECC RAM with 64GB capacity. What makes the ECC RAM stand out from the others is that it protects the iMac 2017 against data corruption and the ECC RAM has been known for stability, Redmond Pie reported.

Aside from that, the iMac 2017 will be available with a 2TB NVM Express PCI-e solid-state storage and the latest discrete graphics card to support virtual reality (VR). The upcoming all-in-one desktop computer will also have a Thunderbolt 3, USB-C connectivity and a new keyboard. Other technical specs of the iMac 2017 include a Touch Bar as well as a Touch ID.

That being said, the launching of the iMac 2017 in August and the top-notch iMac in December would be perfect to conclude the year. With the help of the Quanta, Apple fans can rely upon that the tech company will meet its expected release dates.
