iPad Pro Mini has been the talk of town as the iPad Pro 2 launch draws near. Apple's smallest tablet is said to sport the Pro features with bigger storage and RAM on board. What comes with the Pro, is the Apple Pencil support and probably, all-screen display.

Based on the reports, it can be argued that the iPad Pro Mini is not actually an iPad Mini 4 refresh. To put into comparison, the fourth-gen iPad had a 64GB storage before Apple upped it to 128GB. Apple, however, does not equip it with a generous RAM. Unlike the bigger siblings, iPad Mini 4 sticks with 2 gigs, CNET reported.

That said, the iPad Pro Mini will definitely have a better set of configurations. It is plausible for it to come with 3GB RAM and a higher pixel density. The current iPad Mini 4 does not have True Tone display. This is extremely useful to have an adjustable white balance and color ambiance automatically. The iPad Pro Mini could come with Apple Pencil support just like the bigger lineups.

This year, Apple is celebrating the 10^th anniversary iPhone and fans expect an all-screen iPhone launch in the second half of 2017. The Mini tablet is suspected to get such design given that the 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 is rumored to rock thin bezels, 9to5Mac reported.

For creative pros on the go, they need a compact tablet that is, not too big and able to fit in their bag. A functional tablet that is powerful yet versatile, is somewhat necessary today. That should be one of the reasons that an iPad Pro Mini will fit in the user's daily activity. Considering the size, if rumors are to be believed, the tablet will get a 9.7-inch display

The iPad Mini 4 has not been upgraded since 2015 except for the storage. Thus, 2017 could be the right time to launch a refresh with nifty features that will make people easily forgive and forget if Apple is to discontinue the Mini variant.
