AMD introduced Ryzen 5 in the Zen architecture family with an impressive benchmark score. So far, reviewers have proven that the chipset performance is on par with Intel Core. A new comparison chart agrees on the claim, too.

AMD recently released a fact sheet that displays AMD Ryzen 5 scores 87 percent better than the Core i5 7600k. Furthering the detail, AMD's mainstream chip offers smoother performance especially for heavy tasks. The Ryzen 5 1600X and 1600, in particular, reportedly offer the highest quality for game streaming, IT Wire reported.

The company claimed that its Ryzen CPUs are the game-changers and it has proven to be true. With the current pricing scheme, AMD seems to adapt easily in the new market, by giving it into fans demands. The attractive offering might as well be tempting for those looking for a motherboard upgrade. It would be easy to decide between an AMD Ryzen processor and Intel Kaby Lake with only four cores.

It looks like there will be more experts pitting AMD Ryzen 5 against Core i5 7500 or the Core i7-7600K series. The power squeezed in the Zen chip would mean a great alternative to Intel. In a previous testing, AMD claimed that its 1600X series is around 70 percent faster than the Core i5 7600K in multi-thread, Kotaku reported.

While this is no surprise due to the more cores in Ryzen 5, a leaked review revealed a more shocking truth. AMD Ryzen 5 1600 offering reportedly managed to beat Intel Core i7-7700K. For a $150 cheaper CPU, that is an impressive achievement. The Spanish reviewer upped the Ryzen frequency to 3.9GHz and that should mean the chip is far ahead of the 6850K series.
