The newly launched Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan is public constabularies' new company in chasing criminals as well as implementing constant community patrols. It is twice as efficient as the average cop's car because of its hybrid-electric nature.   

An impressive Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan has been on display during the New York International Auto Show. It appears to be an ideal accompany of public defenders because it is more efficient than the average police's cars.

Ford Fusion Hybrid has beefy suspensions and brakes and even stab-proof seats which make it safer for the police when catching a criminal. Because of its hybrid in nature, the new sedan can be driven in shifts and could possibly hit 32,000 km or 20,000 miles in a year, Ars Techinca reported.

Under-the-hood of Ford Fusion Hybrid is a four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine with 2.0 L attached to a hybrid system. Its electric power alone with 60mph and 38mpg is twice higher compare to Ford's Police Interceptor, the traditional police's car.

Another interesting thing that makes Ford Police Responder Sedan more enticing is its fuel efficiency where the car's engine does not need to be in idle in order to power the radios, lights and other electrical equipment. For this reason, Ford claims that the Police Department could save as much as they did on the non-hybrid car.

When clashing with criminals and other public offenders, cops are said to be safe inside the Ford Fusion Hybrid Car because of its stab-proof vinyl materials use in the seats. The alterations made in the door cards prevent the windows and door to be opened from the inside to avoid hidden contrabands.

Orders for Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan are reportedly starting in the spring and deliveries will take place in summer of next year. Aside from the cops' car, Ford is also expected to upgrade its Mustang with electric crossover sometime in 2020, CNET reported.
