The recently released Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are living proof that Samsung has the capability to exceed Apple in terms of making premium smartphones. Aside from the descriptions of the phones found in every review, the two devices are said to have lots of features waiting to be discovered.

Samsung greets 2017 with a loud bang when Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus made an appearance during the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain last February. And just two days ago, the two new smartphones have officially hit the store shelves worldwide.

Recent reports suggest that Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have impressive features and specs that even surpass iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The new smartphones are said to be comfortable in the hand because of its smart curved design, BGR reported.

The Super AMOLED displays with QHD+ resolution have made Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus more desirable. Powered by bigger batteries, the phones' Infinity Display is truly one of the selling points and one of the most notable features of the phones.

Furthermore, under-the-hood specs also prove that Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are more than just pretty faces. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 385 and Exynos chipsets build from 10nm contribute to the smartphones' kicking ass performance and software optimizations.

On the other hand, aside from the above-mentioned features and specifications of Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, Samsung has surprised the fans regarding the phone's camera. Everyone expects a camera revamp but the South Korean tech firm chooses to have Galaxy S7's camera specs.

That's not quite a bad decision after all since Galaxy S7's camera is considered as one of the best. In fact, the 12MP rear camera produces excellent color. The camera's optical image stabilization also produces crisp and clear images; the 1.4-nanometer sensor pixels also contribute to the camera's low-light performance, Engadget reported.

In conclusion, Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus pose as new threats not only to Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus but also to the upcoming iPhone 8. Due to higher demands of the phones, another report presumes that Samsung is likely to face supply shortage.
