Apple Inc. made it known that it will roll out a new iMac 2017 that's intended for Mac Pro users this year. The tech giant is reportedly testing a server-grade iMac 2017 for high-end customers. The iMac 2017 will be available with Intel Xeon E3-1285 Processor, paired with an ECC RAM.

It has been said that the Cupertino based tech company is testing a server-grade iMac 2017 for top-notch users. This particular iMac 2017 variant will sport an Intel Xeon E3-1285 processor, coupled with an ECC RAM, which can be configured from 16GB up to 64GB. The ECC RAM is self-correcting, which means the device will be safe from data corruption, DigiTimes reported.

In terms of storage, the new high-end iMac 2017 supports up to 2TB of NVM Express PCI-e SSD storage. As for graphics, the iMac 2017 is expected to boast the latest discrete graphics card. AMD will reportedly supply the graphics card for the Cupertino based tech titan. The iMac 2017 server-grade variant is expected to be announced before 2017 ends.

Nonetheless, the tech company will also be refreshing the consumer-grade iMac models. The new iMac 2017 consumer-grade variants will fire up the production next month and will roll out during the second half of 2017. The upcoming Apple device will most likely be available during the July-August timeframe, 9 To 5 Mac reported.

In spite of that, Apple is planning an array of awe-inspiring features for the iMac 2017 in order to compete against Microsoft's Surface series. The iMac 2017 could be up for grabs with a virtual reality (VR) support. The keyboard of the iMac 2017 is said to feature its own Touch Bar.

Also, the upcoming iMac 2017 will come along with a 27-inch display, a 32GB of RAM and a 2TB Fusion Drive. As for the iMac 2017 price, the new all-in-one desktop computer could be available with a $3,199.99 price tag, but the tech giant has neither confirmed nor denied these anticipations.
