Microsoft is gearing up for Xbox Scorpio launch at E3 but fans are also waiting for PlayStation to bring some refreshes to the console. They have heard about PS4 Pro Slim before and now the PS5 rumors surface again after a recent report claims that it will be more powerful than Microsoft's upcoming device.

As a new gen console, PlayStation 5 still has a long way to go before launch but Sony has hinted for the upgrade awhile ago. The console maker is reportedly working on the PS4 successor with the real 4K capability and more than 10 teraflops of power. Based on the statement from analyst Damian Thong of Macquerie Research, PS5 will be more powerful than Xbox Scorpio, MarketExecutive reported.

Thong is a reputable researcher who correctly predicted PS4 Slim and there is no reason not to trust him once again. The new gen console will deliver virtual reality experience and Sony is highly likely to develop its own headset for PS5. However, gamers are doubtful if PS5 will materialize this year given that Sony just launched the PS4 Pro.

Some media outlets have agreed on one thing, that PS5 could be released sometime in 2020 since they have learned that the console is not even in development yet. Nonetheless, Sony will enhance the graphics in PS5 - getting it closer to photorealism. The gaming industry is indeed moving towards such technology and it will be easy for Sony to achieve the goal with PlayStation 5.

The photorealistic graphics will bring a brand new system to consumers. From the previous records, Sony has never failed its fans. The company has sold more than 53.4 millions of PS4 units so far and there is no doubt that it will increase the technical capability in PS5 to surpass Xbox Scorpio in many areas, PSU reported.
