"Yuri!!! On Ice" Season 2 is reportedly happening after the series' popularity soared to new heights. Just recently, Oricon Sales Report named "Yuri!!! On Ice" as the one of the top-selling Blu-ray volume for a TV series for consistently dominating the weekly chart since Feb. 24. Conversely, fans are also gathering for the "Yuri!!! On Stage" Event happening on April 29.

This stage event is a dedicated festivities where fans can purchase limited edition "Yuri!!! On Ice" merchandises. An official invitation has been posted to Twitter by the series official handle @yurionice_PR or check  "Yuri!!! On Ice" website. 

"Yuri!!! On Stage" is one of the biggest event organized to gather the series' fans. Conversely, some insiders claim that Mitsuro Kubo and MAPPA Studio might take this opportunity to make an official announcement regarding the highly anticipated return of "Yuri!!! On Ice" Season 2.

In case this "Yuri!!! On Ice" Season 2 revelation happens, fans would be the happiest if they have the opportunity the first official trailer for its sequel. In addition, the new arc will be revealed and shed some light to some plot spoilers surfacing on the internet.

One of the most hyped plot twist that fans would like to see in "Yuri!!! On Ice" Season 2 is the rivalry between Yuri Katsuki and Yuri Plisetsky. Although Katsuki announced his retirement, his rivalry with Plisetsky was born, MobiPicker reported.

"Yuri!!! On Ice" Season 2 will surely be more exciting with Viktor Nikiforov's new affiliation with Yuri Plisetsky. Their upcoming Coach-Trainee relationship heats up the sequels new arc. In addition, other sources also suggest that the new season will shed some light on the characters' past, especially Viktor.

Meanwhile, "Yuri!!! On Ice" fifth disc with the ninth and 10th episodes will also be released on April 28 during the event. This first press limited edition set of both discs contain a special CD, a new set of two masking tapes drawn Mitsuro Kubo and a special booklet, Crunchyroll reported.
