In April last year, archeologists in Mongolia found an ancient mummy that wore some trendy Adidas trainers. Interestingly, the experts have now cleaned and restored the female "time traveler" and discovered more intricate details about her fancy shoes.

According to IFL Science, the Adidas footwear was actually a pair of knee-high felt boots. They are striped with black and red patterns, complemented by leather soles and decorative buckles. For the record, the Centre of Cultural Heritage of Mongolia conducted the restoration of the mummy.

In the process, the researchers identified the remains as that of a Turkic female who died in the Altai Mountains. At first, the researchers thought that she passed away over 1,500 years ago. However, on a second review, they clarified that the mummy is closer to 1, 100 years ago.

Evidence further showed traces of the cause of her death, which was a heavy blow to the head. The team hopes to perform more DNA and radiocarbon tests to better illustrate her life. If the mummy's style is proven to be something futuristic, this will be an interesting object of study for ethnographers.

On the other hand, the Daily Star reported that the experts also found an ancient clutch bag along with the body. A mirror and a comb were also discovered together with four changes of clothes. Additionally, a knife, a saddle, and the remains of one entire horse were also present. The truth is that this is not the first evidence of a time traveler as a lot of videos on YouTube and articles on Google tackle photos believed to be futuristic scenes in the past.

Galbadrakh Enkhbat, the director of the Centre of Cultural Heritage of Mongolia, earlier noted in media interviews that the felt boots are "knee length", the soles are "leather", and the toecap has stitched stripes in "bright red" colors." Enkhibat added that various sewing utensils were found with her. Therefore, the expert claimed guessed that the mumy could have been a seamstress.
