Apple Inc. is reportedly developing its own battery chips intended for iPhones and iPads. Reports are claiming that the tech titan is doing this in order to take more control of their products.

According to a tech analyst, the Cupertino based tech giant is said to be mounting its own power management chips, which are intended for iPhones and iPads. The tech company is considering to replace the PMIC component with Apple's customized silicon. At the moment, the component is supplied by Dialog and it is anticipated to change in 2019.

It was also noted that Apple is being in-depth in taking in engineers from third party supplier. The tech titan created a substantial group of hired workers for the Apple-designed power management chips. Also, the tech giant is said to have customized graphics processing unit (GPU) intended for its iOS devices, Anand Tech reported.

Meanwhile, new leaks claim the Cupertino based tech company is working simultaneously on two versions of its upcoming iPhone 8. An employee at Apple's key manufacturing partner, Foxconn, made a list as having the major changes of the device, iDrop News reported.

The iPhone 8 is expected to have a front-facing Touch ID beneath the display, a Wireless charging and a 4mm bezel around iPhone 8's entire edge. The upcoming Apple Device will also have a 2.5D contoured glass on the front and back surrounded by a metal frame, same dimensions as the iPhone 7, invisible front-facing camera hidden underneath the display, as well as a 5.8-inch OLED display and a large power button that features two points of contact. The iPhone 8 is expected to have a dual camera setup similar to the iPhone 7 Plus.

The tech giant has yet to confirm the official specs and features of its highly anticipated iPhone 8 Android smartphone. Nonetheless, the iPhone 8 is expected to roll out before the end of 2017.
