A recent claim from technology journalist, Paul Thurott, details the Surface Pro 5 features and specs. Microsoft will reportedly launch a low-end Surface and a high-end Surface Pro model with new design and Power connector.

Surface Pro 5 New Design

Paul Thurott, an award-winning technology journalist, claimed to know a few details of the upcoming Surface Pro 5. The tidbits include a thinner Surface design and a low-end Surface model running Windows 10 Cloud. According to the familiar source, the upcoming Surface Pro will still retain the Power connector. The news created opinions as most of the fans want to see a USB type C port instead.

The connector is particularly useful, however, it is plausible for Microsoft to make the Surface Pro 5 a transition device that supports both. As far as the processor is concerned, the Surface Pro 5 will contain Intel Kaby Lake. Additionally, Thurott also mentions no dramatic change coming to the device, TheNextWeb reported.

Surface Book 2 New Feature

Digging into the details, the new Surface Book will reportedly be a typical notebook that lacks of convertible feature. A handful reports suggest that Surface Book 2 will appear at Microsoft Spring event but one outlet seems to have a different argument. The source said that the Redmond giant is gearing up to unveil Windows Cloud update but not a Surface Book, BGR reported.

As far as the design is concerned, Microsoft is reportedly making the Surface Book 2 in clamshell design. It may be an odd thing to expect from the company especially when no leak or detail that could authorize the claim.
