iPad Pro 2 details have been leaked ahead of launch. A few notable sources have learned that the next-gen iPad will sport a bezel-free chassis, and powerful specs that could make the tablet capable to replace MacBook Air.

The upcoming iPad Pro 2 is said to have a major overhaul as the tablet gets a new design. Apple will reportedly launch a foldable iPad Pro this year with a new chassis. The folding device will have a bezel-free design and surprisingly, a Touch Bar.

The Touch Bar function will be a new concept for the iPad Pro 2 if it does materialize. Compared to the conventional sleek-white tablet, this feature will add a great functionality. It is a dramatic design but tech experts doubt if it would be a compelling product with such features in tow, MacWorld reported.

Tech crowds have heard about the bezel-less 10.5-inch iPad Pro 2 which will be launched alongside the 12.9-inch model. The exclusive design will match the powerful chipset, A10x, which the largest model will also contain.

iPad Pro 2 will Reportedly Replace MacBook Air

A few resources have learned that the iPad Pro 2 specs and features are likely to match the MacBook Air capability. With the rumor of it being discontinued, it is safe to assume that the next iPad will indeed be able to replace the portable laptop. To put into perspective, the current 12.9-inch variant that comes with Apple Pencil and keyboard, has the price of a laptop.

Needless to say, the redesigned iPad Pro 2 seems to reposition the tablet segment. Apple could be aiming at the professionals to market its upcoming flagship tablet although the leaked specs do not really represent Apple's culture, NY Mag reported.

The new iPad Pro 2 will reportedly be launched sometime in May or June. That means a few more months before the actual product comes to fruition.
