When Apple Inc. rolled out its new MacBook Pro lineup, only the low-end configuration MacBook Pro 13-inch model arrived without the Touch Bar feature. This gave Apple users the impression that the Touch Bar feature would likely become a permanent staple for the future MacBook Pro laptops. Nonetheless, recently surfaced reports suggest that such may no longer be the case.

The next update to the MacBook Pro lineup could roll out later this year, with the higher-end MacBook Pro 2017 15-inch variant launching without the Touch Bar. The decision of the tech giant to ditch the Touch Bar in the MacBook Pro 2017 is due to the poor response of the professionals, particularly the Touch Bar,  OS News  reported.

This would mean that the much awaited MacBook Pro 2017 without the Touch Bar will be cheaper compared to the model that is equipped with the feature. Nonetheless, the next update to the MacBook Pro lineup will be power-efficient and have improved battery life.

The MacBook Pro 2017 will reportedly use Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors, coupled with the AMD Radeon Pro GPU. Apple's highly anticipated laptop could also come along with four USB Type-C ports.

Since the existing MacBook Pro is available with a 16GB of RAM, the Cupertino based tech titan could actually double the RAM memory of the upcoming MacBook Pro 2017. Nevertheless, up until now the tech giant seemed to refuse to please tech fans, who have expressed this feature. Apple's SVP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller, made it known in an email that since the 16GB of RAM is very fast, the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2017 is not going to need a huge RAM memory, Donklephant reported.

Apple has yet to make an official announcement on when the MacBook Pro 2017 will be released. In spite of that, the upcoming Apple device is anticipated to roll out in the second half of 2017.
