Microsoft's annual Spring event is just a month away where Surface Pro 5 is tipped to launch. Since the device has reportedly received a new certification where some details are revealed, Microsoft watchers firmly believe that the fifth generation of the 2-in-1 hybrid tablet will be making an appearance soon.

Unlike the second generation of Surface Book, Surface Pro 5 is expected to launch next month during Microsoft's annual event called "Build 2017". This information is supported by the new details gleaned from the device's new certification received called China Compulsory Certificate.

The CCC is defined as "a compulsory safety mark for many products imported, sold or used in the Chinese market" where it reveals the power usage-related specs of Surface Pro 5. Although the certification does indicate any specs aside from the power, it signifies the device's imminent release, MS Power User reported.

On the other hand, new details about the Surface Pro 5 also include its lack of innovation that is directly comparable to that of MacBook Pro 2016. To recall, loyal Apple fans are reportedly disappointed about the Touch Bar which eventually considered as a flop alongside hardware revamps.

In the case of Surface Pro 5, Microsoft is reportedly choosing Intel Kaby Lake processor as confirmed by Paul Thurott, a Microsoft-watcher. He also reveals that the 2-in-1 hybrid tablet will retain the current power connector of Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book which means scrapping off USB Type-C idea, Forbes reported.

Software-wise, Microsoft is expected to put emphasis on Windows 10 operating system as well as its cloud-based services. Through this manner, the Windows-maker is expected to showcase its software-based innovations which could be a major selling point of Surface Pro 5.

Previous details about Microsoft Surface Pro 5's hardware include 4K video support, 16GB of RAM coupled with 512GB internal storage and Surface Pen stylus support. The device is expected to costs from $899 or higher.
