Bungie has already revealed the release dates for "Destiny 2" expansions, courtesy of a FAQ page sent out to US branch GameStop stores. The game's first expansion is set for release later this year, while the second expansion will be released on early 2018. But the latest and probably, the biggest story for Bungie, for now, is the much-talked PC version of the game and the reported return of the Iron Banner event.

Latest reports said that the PC version of "Destiny 2," which slated for release later this year, will also make available on Steam, the Valve's popular digital distribution platform. However, there still no official words or confirmation yet on whether the game studio will make the game available through its own client, the SegmentNext reported.

The PC platform currently has a huge number of different digital distribution platforms, which include Origin from Electronic Arts, Uplay from Ubisoft, and the most recently, Blizzard App from Blizzard. There's also the Bethesda's very own Bethesda.net Launcher. Gamers today want to have their library of games on a single gaming platform only and a 'Destiny 2' on Steam would be a big help for them.

In addition to the news about "Destiny 2" on Steam, Bungie has also confirmed the return of the game's limited time Iron Banner event next week, April 11. Bungie made the big announcement in the studio's weekly blog post. Destiny's Iron Banner event will start on Tuesday, April 11 at exactly 10 a.m. Pacific Time (1 p.m. Eastern Time). The event will run for one week and end on April 18 at 2 a.m. Pacific Time (5 a.m. Eastern Time).

The game mode for the upcoming Iron Banner event will be Control, which involves capturing zones on a game's map, according to Bungie. Then, there's even more, players that will compete in the upcoming Iron Banner event will also get a chance to earn some rewards, which may include rifles, shotguns and even armor for Destiny's three classes, the GameRant reported.

In another Destiny-related story, "Destiny 2" had a premium Collector's Edition alongside a standard edition. Bungie and Activision have already teased fans with tempting pre-orders for the upcoming game. The pre-orders for the Collector's Edition will start this week, Sunday, April 9, according to GameRant.

Not much information have been given by Bungie regarding the content and price of Destiny 2's Collector's Edition. Meanwhile, a "Destiny 2" player has tried to contact Amazon support chat to inquire about when will be players will be able to buy the game's Collector's Edition. Amazingly, the tech support made a quick response and even explained when the Collector's Edition will be available for pre-orders.

Bungie is reportedly planning to steal the spotlight at the upcoming E3 2017 event, where the studio is expected to show more details about the sequel, "Destiny 2." In addition to the big "Destiny 2" reveal, Bungie has also forged some partnership with console maker Sony, which expected to show PlayStation exclusive contents. Bungie's next space adventure game "Destiny 2" is slated for release on September 8 for Xbox One and PS4.
