Previous reports claimed that Microsoft's upcoming Surface Pro 5 would be unveiled in April 2017. Nonetheless, a Microsoft employee suggested that the hybrid device might be launched in 2018. Microsoft is said to unleash the Surface Pro 5 to fix several issues of its predecessor.

A Microsoft employee reportedly stated that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might roll out in 2018 to deal with Surface Pro 4's issues, which is battery life. On the contrary, some reports suggest that the Redmond, Washington-based tech titan might release the Surface Pro 5 with the Windows 10 Creators Update in Fall 2017, Learn Bonds reported.

Nevertheless, one very important reason for which the Microsoft Surface Pro 5's launch has been delayed is the fact that the Intel Kaby Lake chipsets were not ready yet. Reports are springing one after the other that the parts are already on the way by now, Donklephant reported.

As the all-new Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to sport Intel's Kaby Lake processor, the hybrid device is also said to arrive with 2K and 4K displays. The famous Surface Pen is likely included in the Surface Pro 5 with its latest technology that automatically charges when attached to the upcoming hybrid device.

The Microsoft Surface Pro is anticipated to come along with a 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB of internal storage. The much awaited Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to have a price tag around $899 or higher. Microsoft's upcoming high-end device can fully function as a laptop, making it a line of Microsoft's 2-in-1 hybrid products.

Moreover, tech experts are expecting the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 to have a USB Type-C, 12.3-inch screen, and a support for the Hololens and the Surface Dial. Tech fans are hoping that the recently anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release date this October 2017 will be confirmed by the tech giant itself.
