"Left 4 Dead" 3 is currently on development but Valve has been keeping its lips tight of any information. However, a few sources have indicated that the first-person shooter video game will receive a boost in the engine department as Valve reportedly adds more horror elements to the gameplay.

The years of development suggests an enhanced gaming experience

The game is highly-anticipated ever since Valve spilled the beans in 2013 during an office tour. Four years in the making should give fans a major hint that the game will look a lot better than the previous series. With Valve's latest announcement on VR, fans are hoping that "Left 4 Dead" 3 will be available in virtual reality mode, according to UploadVR.

The support for PS4, Xbox One, PC

Aside from the improvements, the developer will likely bring support for PS4, Xbox One and PC as well. It is worth noting that the biggest video game trade show is just around the corner and Valve could be using the event to release "Left 4 Dead" 3 demo, just like what it did with the second series back in 2009. Moreover, this year's E3 will be open to the public and a larger number of visitors is highly-anticipated.

The storyline

"Left 4 Dead 3" universe will see the first day of pandemic outbreak in the opening scene and 30 days after the infection. This is not a baseless speculation as previous reports have hinted that fans might catch a glimpse of the gameplay at E3 2017, StartReplay reported.

The characters

It's been reported that there will be four main characters, one of which is a female named Catherine. The playable characters could be getting a similar situation in the gameplay - having contrast attitudes and personalities.

Valve still left fans with pieces of the puzzle and with such a long gap since the second series, there should be a fundamental change to make the story more compelling while keeping the intense horror at its best.
