Asus recently held its Outshine the competition global campaign in Berlin, where the tech giant unveiled a slew of brand new devices. Nonetheless, the undeniable star of the event is the tech giant's latest flagship GPU, dubbed as the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

Asus' ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has some water-cooling capabilities. The hybrid cooler of the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti can run on its own with its dual-fan cooler, but the GPU needs to be plugged into a person's existing water loop and run it under water, according to Tweak Town.

Asus made it known that the powerful ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card will be running hotter compared to its GTX 1080 Ti Strix GPU when in Fan-only mode. Nevertheless, when using the GPU's built-in water pipes, the device will run at about 50C depending on the water-cooling setup of the gaming rig. The tech company has fitted the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti with a standard G1/4-inch Terminal Block design that makes the device compatible with water loops.

The Taiwanese tech titan has not fully confirmed whether the G1/4 connections and the pipe are made of copper. Tech fans with copper components are required to have water additives, so that the aluminum will not turn into a galvanic element, PC Games Hardware reported.

Nevertheless, the ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card is 30 percent cooler and three times quieter compared to the reference cards. The production of Asus' latest GPU has apparently changed to automated production, in order for the failure rate will be excluded by human error.

The ROG Poseidon GeForce GTX 1080 Ti GPU is slated to be up for grabs by the second quarter of 2017. Asus has yet to reveal the price of its latest graphics card, but the device might cost more than $1,399.
