Apple is expected to launch the revamped MacBook Pro this year and the lineups will obviously get major overhauls in many areas. Here's the detail!

Intel Kaby Lake Processor

There are hypothetical reports that suggest Apple might switch to AMD Ryzen 7 chip and move away from Intel. However, the chance to make a shift in processor is slim. According to Motley Fool, Intel will still accept the silicon orders from Apple for its upcoming Mac and iMac lineups. The media outlet went further with details, stating that Intel corporation will most likely 'keep Apple interested' in their products.

A piece of evidence backing up the claim is the statement from KGI Securities analyst, Ming Chi Kuo, who has an early verdict that MacBook Pro 2017 will rock Intel Kaby Lake Processor. Kuo essentially mentioned that the Air model will be replaced by the new 'no Touch Bar' MacBook.

AMD Radeon RX 500 GPU

AMD launched a few series of graphics cards this year, one of which is the Radeon RX 500. Reports have come to believe that the GPU could end up in the Macbook Pro lineup this year.

16 GB RAM on Board

It's unlikely for Apple to increase the random access memory in MacBook 2017. Phillip Schiller has already mentioned that the company goes for 16 gigs in the current model since it's already 'a fast memory', according to Apple Insider. Apple won't double the RAM as it will require Mac to have a different design of the logic board.

MacBook Pro 2017 Release Date

The current MacBook Pro uses 16 gigs of RAM and Intel Core i7 and i5 to power the laptops. For those who plan to upgrade their Mac, it is wise to stick with the current model and wait for Apple to introduce the new lineups in Q4 2017.
