It's been reported by several media outlets that the Pixel 2 will have a lot of improvements starting from a higher screen resolutions to a better camera quality. How better it could be?

From the current Pixel and Pixel XL, tech experts have learned that Google engineers enhance the camera software so that each capture gets an excellent picture quality. DxOMark has awarded the Pixel phones as the best smartphone camera. Its rear sensor is from Sony whilst the front-facing sensor uses Samsung Omnivision. The optics pairing sensors are average but Google managed to improve the image processing ability, according to Phone Arena.

Based on these facts, Google could be applying software tweaks for the upcoming Pixel 2 camera. The company might not increase the Megapixel counts since it won't always result in a better shot, NewAtlas reported. Instead, Google will reportedly improve the white balance and make a few upgrades on the blur effect on an image.

Rumor has it that the Pixel 2 will have super thin bezels. Bezel seems to be one of the smartphone elements that's becoming a huge concern these days. As Galaxy S8 and iPhone 8 are reportedly getting such design, it is no surprise that the Pixel 2 will be launched with an impressive build and slimmer dimensions.

Meanwhile, the fans are surprised by 'Taimen' codename that's said to be the biggest Pixel 2 model. It could weigh 100 kg but a heavy weight device might not be a smartphone at all - it could be a tablet, a hybrid or a laptop.

Despite the hardware issues, Pixel and Pixel XL have received great feedbacks as BGR noted that HTC as an ODM partner, has to put more efforts to meet the consumers demand.
